i'm live at the gap store on market street in san francisco. several bay area stores opened early today on thanksgiving, just to cash in early on the black friday rush. here's what the scene was like at gap on market street at 11 a.m. when they opened up. they had some customers but it can't compare to the rush and all that stampeding that typically comes with black friday. today's thanksgiving shopping was actually quite tame in comparison. here's earlier this morning, we were at the old navy in dublin expecting a line waiting for the doors to open at 9:00. and not a soul. we talked to some today who say stores should not open on thanksgiving. >> we are just noticing the gap is open. that's unreal. a day off would be good for everybody. better for everybody. >> i used to be a huge black friday shopper, midnight i'm good with that. but 5 p.m.? that's bad. >> reporter: whether you think it's sad or not, the fact is it's happening at that kmart store over there in redwood city, they will actually be opened up all the way through black friday. tha
